AICE Media Studies

In this project I learned to use an app called cap cut to edit  and put my commercial together. I’ve never used this app before or really any editing app for that matter. Learning how to navigate it actually wasn’t that difficult, it was a pretty simple app. I learned how to add pictures and videos and even songs to my project. For the song I had to learn how to export it to then put it into my project which was probably the most difficult thing to figure out. I also learned how the length and speed at which videos play can have a major effect on a project, just tweaking one little thing can make a big difference. Another thing i’d say I learned was but of time management. When doing the project I made sure to put a bit of time aside to work on it basically every other day. I think this project turned out quite well however i’m hopeful that my next project will be even better. Now that I am familiar with the editing process I think that next time I will be able to focus more on the act

I’ve finally finished up my commercial. It took a bit of tweaking to get it to where I’d like it to be but I’m happy with how it turned out. To finish up I rly just worked on editing, mostly timing. I wanted to match the song with the pictures and the pictures with the transitions. I had to add another beginning screen so that the beat drop of the song came in at the same time as my first picture. I did a similar thing with the videos. I tried to make it so that the ending of the video aids to the transition. For instance I tried use a clap in the video to transition into the next picture. I did this by ending the video as the clap happened then adding a transition. I liked how this came out. I did however have to tweak it a lot. I had my friend look at the commercial and they said they liked it. They gave me a few minor adjustments that I didn’t see like making sure adjusting the length that the pictures were on screen. All in all I’m proud of how my commercial turned out.

I pretty much finished my commercial besides some finishing touches. I organized all the media the way I wanted. I added the song as well and I actually like the way it fits in with the commercial. I put intro text into the commercial and I’m not sure if I should put the song over it or not. For now I’m just leaving it without. For the intro text I wanted to have it a certain way. I wanted the words all separate from each other on different screens. So I could have them transition into each other back to back almost like a preview for a movie. I did this by making three separate pictures each with different texts on them and then just added them all and added transitions. I like the way this turned out. 

Today I put all my pictures and videos into the commercial. I organized all of them together. I’m still not sure if I like the way it is or not. I’ll play around with the format more as I go on but for now it is good. I also started adding some transitions. That’s another thing I’ll mess around with more as I go on. The transitions are fun and they add a lot to the commercial. I’m unsure if I should keep the same transition throughout the whole commercial or use a different one for each piece of media. I still haven’t picked the songs yet. I’m still kind of putting that off for last. But so far I think the commercial will turn out good. 

So far I have picked out my photos and videos as well as my songs. I am slowly starting to piece them together as of now. I haven’t really started any of the editing of the project. For right now I am just working. on the format I will follow. I think that deciding on the format and the placement of all the media will help make the whole process a lot easier. It always good to have a plan. I’m working on the order of the media the switching between photos and videos. I think I’m going to alternate photo video throughout the commercial for my format. I think it will balance out the commercial the best.

 It was a little difficult for me to pick out my photos. One because I don’t have very many pictures of myself. Two because it’s hard for me to pick between the pictures that I do have. This is because I don’t know which ones will be best for representing what I’d like to represent in my commercial. The ones I ended up deciding on were because I felt like they had some sort of meaning and background to them. Even if it was just me having fun at the time. I picked one photo from when I was younger and the rest were more recent. My videos were even more difficult to choose because I have even less videos of myself. Lastly my songs I haven’t chose yet i’m still deciding on what they should be. I think the songs won’t be too difficult to pick so i’m kind of saving them for last. I want to pick songs that fit well into the commercial so i need to first put the commercial together.

Hello my name is Hunter I go to ft. lauderdale high school. I don’t like highschoool very much because there is a lot of work. If I had to choose I’d say my least favorite class is history because the teacher assigns a lot of work for no reason. I also like to eat, I like chicken and beef a lot. I do not like cheese at all and I won’t eat anything with cheese in it or on it. I don’t like normal fitting t shirts I just don’t like the way they look. I like boxing and martial arts. I used to work out a lot, now i don’t because i injured myself. I had surgery on my shoulder about a year ago. It still kind of hurts. My mother just also had shoulder surgery a few days ago so I guess it runs in the family. I should be getting my drivers license soon which I am excited about.   .
