AICE Media Studies

As of now me and my group have started our filming process. We’ve decided that we will record a little bit of our video across a couple of sessions. This way it is not to demanding on us or the actors when we our filming since each session will only take 30 minutes or so. Our first filming session went well, however we aren’t sure if we will use the footage from this session or not. This is because it was still more of a test run and we could probably improve on a lot of things. Even if we don’t end up using this footage this was still a very successful session because we all got good experience in filming for our video.

The past couple of days haven’t been very productive as far as filming goes. Me and my group were supposed to go out and do a test run with our filming, however our plans fell through so we were not able to do so. Still we got some stuff done besides filming. We were thinking of recruiting some actors for the video. So we will now be implementing the help of my little cousin for the acting. He’s pretty excited about it. This will be very good for our overall video. However I do have some concerns with having another person to rely on for filming. Because now instead of just relying on my group mates to film the video I also have to rely on our actor. This may make scheduling a little more difficult but I think it will be worth it in the end.

I have mostly been working on laying out the foundation of the music video. So I basically have just been looking at the lyrics of the song so that I can map out the movements and actions for our video. The nice thing about the song our group picked is that it tells a story in order. So there’s not much room for interpretation. This makes it much easier to make a video since the song basically lists the things we must do. Me and my group have not started our filming yet however we plan to start it this upcoming Saturday or Sunday depending on our schedules. We our making the filming schedule more fluid on the weekends to account for the different schedules of myself and my group mates. Another thing i’ve been doing is looking at editing software. I think that I’m just going to stick with cap cut since I’m already familiar with it from my commercial.

The name of my groups song is Party in the USA by Miley Cyrus. For this project me and my group will be using props. We will be using a number of different cardboard and paper cutouts which we will be drawing on. For the costumes we will be using a sweater and normal clothing besides that. For our location we will be filming at one of my group mates homes and possibly the airport, however I’m not sure if we will be able to make the airport work so we’ve planned it so that a house is all we really need. For our schedule we plan to film every Saturday or every other Saturday depending on how our schedules work. As we still are in a bit of a planning phase all of these factors may have additions or subtractions to them that we will figure out as we go along. 

So I have recently chose my group and my song for the music video project. Firstly I chose this girl in my class who I know. I chose her because she has good work ethic and is very artistic. Which will be useful for the drawing out our story board since I am horrible at drawing. I am hopeful we will work well together. The song we chose is Party in the USA by Miley Cyrus. We picked this song because it tells a good story which will aid in making the video a lot. Hopefully making it much easier. This song is also very catchy and most people like it so that’s why i think it’s a good pick. 

Hello again, I’m back to introduce myself again, this time I will be doing a music video. So to start off my name is Hunter and I go to ft lauderdale high school. I’m not the biggest fan of high school because there is a lot of work. I am on my junior year so this is supposed to be an important year which means even more work. I just recently got my drivers licenses which is cool, however I’ve mostly just been running errands. Having my drivers license should be pretty useful for this project as I can now drive to different filming locations instead of having to pay for Ubers. Besides that there’s not much else going on with me. I’ve been cooking a lot thought so that’s something I suppose. I’m really not good at drawing. I feel like I should make that known. I took a drawing class freshmen year and it was a train wreck for me.
