Final Task: Title Design

Image
Hi viewers welcome back, today this blog will be introducing our ideas for our title design!   Our Font: We’re hoping to mimic the fonts of other thriller movies, that including dramatic bold colors that imply the theme for the movie. For example, The Night Lamp, Stranger Things, and Bloody Mary all have bright red fonts that are chosen to evoke fear for the movie. A lot of thriller or horror movies include blood dripping from their titles for effect as well. Contrast: Color: As previously stated, thriller movies commonly used bright colors such as red, that stand out from the background. The Halloween movies all have very similar title cards with bright orange font and a contrasting color background. This is important because it implies the upcoming events of the storyline. The title cards shown down below show two examples of the same movie franchise that have chosen to use both bright bold colors for dramatics, and simple black and white font which proves to be just as creepy as th

Schedule:  2/5/24 We will begin filming around this time, It may be sooner depending on the circumstances but this is around the latest we will start our filming. We will try to film our scenes in order, there isn’t many actors, there is only one scene that requires an actor outside of our group which is the first one so we will try to get that one out of the way first.  2/10/24 I plan we will film every five days or so again it could be later or sooner then that depending on how things go.  2/15/24 This would be the time around our third filming session. 2/16/24-2/19/24 We will start the editing process by putting the scenes together and see if we missed anything 2/20/24 I do not think we will need a fourth filming session for as I think all our scenes will be done by the third, however we will use this session to go over all the scenes and see if we missed anything  2/21/24-3/5/24 We will edit during this time, It may take longer then projected which is ok. This is mostly a working d

This opening sequence definitely did a good job of making me feel uncomfortable. It was very off putting which could be a good aspect of a thriller.

Title Research Intro

In doing my title research I found a great site called artofthetitle.com. I stumbled across this site pretty easily when looking up opening title sequences. This was a very good find because it has everything we need to do our title research. It has the opening sequences to a bunch of movies from all types of genres so it was pretty easy to find one for our purposes. I tried a couple of other sites besides this one to see if there were any better ones and while there were some similar I found that this one was the easiest to use.
